Susannah Heschel is the Eli Black Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College. Her scholarship focuses on Jewish-Christian relations in Germany during the 19th and 20th centuries, the history of biblical scholarship, modern European anti-Semitism, and European Jewish scholarship on Islam.

Rabbi Alan Iser from Philadelphia visited Beit Warszawa on his way to teach at the Masorti Center in Jerusalem. Rabbi Iser has a long-time connection to Beit Warszawa. He has lectured on Jewish law, Halachah and many other topics. This is Rabbi Isers sixth visit to Poland.
Zoe and Audrey’s Time in Gdansk
Beit Trojmiasto welcomed two rabbinic students from Hebrew Union College, Audrey Honig and Zoe Dressner-Wollberg, for Passover 2023. They spent several days with the community preparing Seders and leading them with our community. We thank Karina from the Joint Distribution Committee and Dominika Zakrzewska’s connection to Hebrew Union College and look forward to future learning opportunities.

Beit Warszawa Purim – 2023 Beit Warszawa celebrated Purim this year in grand style. Cantorial soloist Henyk Kowalski led a host of Megilla readings in Hebrew, Polish, and English. Pawel Spiewak led with words of explanation and reports of the fun are being spread through Madea and Shushan. But pictures tell a better story.
