A Soulful Journey

A Unique People-Centered Intellectual and Spiritual Encounter

Join Members of the Clergy Cabinet of Friends of Jewish Renewal in Poland in the clergy and congregational visit to Poland and Israel this November 7 to 19, 2024. Our journey will celebrate the surprising emergence of living Jewish communities, while noting the community’s historical and memorial significance. The Israel portion will confirm Jewish presence and solidarity. Our journey will engage the profound struggle of Progressive Jews in Poland throughout the modern and contemporary periods, building communities emphasizing Jewish values based on tradition, understanding and comity.

Rabbi Haim Beliak, Executive Director, and Chair Rabbi David Oler, and Vice-chair Rabbi Alan Iser (of the Rabbi Michael A. Signer Clergy Cabinet of Friends of Jewish Renewal in Poland), and other members of the Clergy Cabinet are creating a unique people-centered intellectual and spiritual encounter with professional guides, Dominika Zakrzewska (Poland) and Jan Kirschenbaum (Israel).

The Polish part includes visiting Warsaw (2 days), Lodz (1 day), and Krakow (2 days). Israeli part includes Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, plus locations related to October 7.

If participants would like to arrange additional trips or genealogical research, we will be happy to assist. We ask that individual trip requests be made as early as possible, preferably by October 14th, to Dominika Zakrzewska (zakrzewska.dominika@wp.pl). European trip extensions can be arranged.

Ground costs of the trip to Poland and Israel, as well as the Warsaw-Tel Aviv flight are included. $4,500 for double occupancy and $6,000 for single occupancy.  All breakfasts, lunches, and 5 dinners in Poland, as well as all breakfasts, lunches, and 3 dinners in Israel are included. Tips, entrance fees, coordination, administrative and organizational fees included.

Flights to and from the U.S. and travel insurance are not included. The program starts with a welcome dinner on November 7th, followed by an overnight stay in Warsaw.
