Ukrainian Refugee Winter Footwear Campaign
Organizational genius and sweet soul Jonathan Mills writes to us from Poland.
One of Warsaw’s Progressive Polish Jewish community’s founders has returned to join with professional educators from Poland and Ukrain to create Spynka nurseries and preschools. Over 600 children and many Polish and Ukrainian are coping. This note and picture tells a story of thanks and joy:
Hello Beit Polska and Friends of Jewish Renewal in Poland Tea
As I write this, I am looking at the weather forecast on my phone, which shows the next seven days with a combination of snow and rain. The boots that Beit Polska’s Korczak fund gave to the children at the Spynka nurseries and preschools have been extremely important for the Ukrainian refugee children, many of whom came to Poland without proper winter footwear.
The attached picture is from one of our Spynka centers in Kutno after distributing the boots. I hope it makes you smile as much as it made me smile.
Thank you again for your constant support.
Best,
Jon Mills
